COVID: 2,493 fresh cases, 26 deaths in Haryana

Chandigarh, Sep 15 (UNI) Haryana on Tuesday registered record 2,493 new cases of COVID-19, while also recording 26 more fatalities due to the virus, taking the state's cumulative number of cases to 98,622 and death toll to 1026, the state health department said.
According to the department's bulletin, the virus claimed five lives in Karnal, four in Panchkula, three in Kaithal, two each in Gurugram, Faridabad, Ambala, Hisar, Kurukshetra and Fatehabad and one life each in Bhiwani and Sirsa districts today.
The bulletin stated that among the new cases 324 were reported from Gurugram district, 270 from Faridabad, 195 from Hisar, 190 from Ambala, 181 from Panchkula, 173 from Fatehabad, 151 from Rohtak, 149 from Karnal, 145 from Kurukshetra, 123 from Yamunanagar, 121 from Panipat, 88 from Rewari, 87 from Sirsa, 76 from Sonipat, 50 from Palwal, 38 from Bhiwani, 34 from Jhajjar, 31 from Mahendergarh, 26 from Jind, 22 from Kaithal, 14 from Nuh and 5 new cases from Charkhi Dadri district.
