COVID-19 : Record 2,783 fresh cases, 24 deaths in Haryana

Chandigarh, Sep 12 (UNI) Haryana on Saturday registered record 2,783 new cases of COVID-19, while also recording 24 more fatalities due to the virus, taking the state's cumulative number of cases to 91,115 and death toll to 956, the state health department said.
According to the department's bulletin, the virus claimed five lives in Karnal, three each in Faridabad and Ambala, two each in Gurugram, Hisar, Sirsa and Yamunanagar and one life each in Rohtak, Panchkula, Kurukshetra, Fatehabad and Kaithal districts today.
The bulletin stated that among the new cases 326 were reported from Gurugram district, 278 from Faridabad, 272 from Karnal, 213 from Hisar, 197 from Ambala, 178 each from Panchkula and Panipat, 174 from Jind, 173 from Kurukshetra, 165 from Sonipat, 131 from Sirsa, 77 from Rohtak, 68 from Rewari, 61 from Yamunanagar, 56 from Jhajjar, 55 from Mahendergarh, 48 from Fatehabad, 40 from Palwal, 39 from Kaithal, 30 from Bhiwani, 16 from Nuh and 8 new cases from Charkhi Dadri district.
