Chandigarh, Sep 9 (UNI) Haryana on Wednesday registered a record 2,294 new cases of COVID-19, while also recording 28 more fatalities due to the virus, taking the state's cumulative number of cases to 83,353 and death toll to 882, the state health department said.
According to the department's bulletin, the virus claimed four lives each in Karnal and Hisar, three each in Ambala, Yamunanagar and Kurukshetra, two each in Faridabad and Panchkula and one life each in Rohtak, Panipat, Mahendergarh, Bhiwani, Sirsa, Fatehabad and Kaithal districts today.
The bulletin stated that among the new cases 267 were reported from Faridabad district, 260 from Gurugram, 235 from Kurukshetra, 180 from Ambala, 160 from Karnal, 150 from Yamunanagar, 143 from Panchkula, 141 from Sonipat, 127 from Panipat, 108 from Hisar, 86 from Rewari, 70 from Palwal, 62 from Jhajjar, 56 from Sirsa, 46 from Bhiwani, 38 from Mahendergarh, 31 from Fatehabad, 30 from Jind, 28 from Kaithal, 24 from Rohtak, 23 from Nuh and 9 new cases from Charkhi Dadri district.
