Chandigarh, Sep 8 (UNI) Haryana on Tuesday registered a record 2,286 new cases of COVID-19, while also recording 25 more fatalities due to the virus, taking the state's cumulative number of cases to 81,059 and death toll to 854, the state health department said.
According to the department's bulletin, the virus claimed three lives each in Karnal and Kurukshetra, two each in Ambala, Panchkula, Yamunanagar, Sirsa and Fatehabad and one life each in Faridabad, Gurugram, Rewari, Rohtak, Hisar, Jhajjar, Bhiwani, Nuh amd Kaithal districts today.
The bulletin stated that among the new cases 266 were reported from Faridabad district, 258 from Gurugram, 224 from Karnal, 204 from Panipat, 169 from Panchkula, 162 from Rohtak, 140 from Kurukshetra, 115 from Rewari, 100 from Sonipat, 98 from Ambala, 84 from Hisar, 80 from Yamunanagar, 69 from Mahendergarh, 57 from Kaithal, 52 from Fatehabad, 49 from Sirsa, 46 from Jind, 43 from Jhajjar, 24 from Nuh, 21 each from Palwal and Bhiwani and 4 new cases from Charkhi Dadri district.
