Chandigarh, Sep 23 (UNI) With the detection of 1,986 fresh COVID-19 cases in Haryana on Wednesday, the infection tally in the state surged to 1,16,856.
The death toll also mounted to 1,233 in the state after 27 more patients succumbed to the virus in last 24 hours.
According to the department's bulletin, the virus claimed three lives each in Ambala and Rohtak, two each in Gurugram, Karnal, Bhiwani, Kurukshetra, Sirsa, Yamunanagar and Jind and one death each in Faridabad, Panipat, Hisar, Panchkula, Mahendergarh, Fatehabad and Kaithal districts today.
