COVID-19: Chhattisgarh reports 1172 fresh patients, 14 deaths

Raipur, Sep 5 (UNI) As many as 1172 fresh COVID-19 cases were found in Chhattisgarh during the last 24 hours, with this, the COVID-19 tally rose to 41806 in the state, though 879 patients who were undergoing treatment in various hospitals across the state have recovered and they have returned to homes after discharge.
Meanwhile 14 patients have succumbed to Coronavirus.
According to information received from health department out of 1172 fresh COVID-19 positive patients maximum 398 belong to Raipur whereas 155 patients were found in Durg, 96 in Bilaspur, 69 in Balod, 54 each in Rajnandgaon and Raigarh, 46 in Janjgir-Champa, 28 in Surajpur, 27 in Balrampur, 25 each in Mahasamund and Kondagaon, 23 in Dhamtari, 21 each in Sarguja and Bastar, 20 in Baloda-Bazaar, 18 in Gariaband, 15 in Bemetara, 14 in Koriya, 13 in Kabirdham, 12 in Kanker, 11 in Mungeli, 10 in Narayanpur, 9 in Bijapur and 5 in Gourela-Pendra-Marwahi. Three fresh patients have come from other states. Process of their hospitalization is underway. Meanwhile 14 infected patients have died.
