Raipur, Aug 25 (UNI) Chhattisgarh on Tuesday recorded the highest single-day spike of 1145 new cases surging the tally to 23199 while the death toll also mounted to 218 as 12 more patients succumbed to virus.
According to information received from health department, out of 1145 fresh COVID cases, maximum 364 belong to Raipur while 117 fresh positive patients were found in Raigarh, 104 in Bilaspur,85 in Rajnandgaon, 72 in Durg, 70 in Dantewada, 48 in Bastar, 40 in Sarguja, 38 in Kanker, 28 in Sukma, 25 in Bijapur, 24 in Surajpur, 23 in Baloda-Bazaar, 20 in Dhamtari, 17 in Mahasamund, 16 in Narayanpur, 13 in Kondagaon, 11 in Kabirdham, five each in Gariaband and Janjgir-Champa, four each in Balod and Korba, two in Jashpur and one each in Bemetara, Mungeli, Gourela-Pendra-Marwahi, Koriya and Balrampur. Five positive patients came from other state.
The process of their hospitalisation was underway.
