COVID-19: 568 fresh cases, nine deaths in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Aug 22 (UNI) Chhattisgarh has registered as many as 568 fresh COVID-19 cases during the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 20078 on Saturday.
Meanwhile 372 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery while 9 patients succumbed to virus.
According to information received from health department out of 568 fresh COVID-19 positive patients who were identified in Chhattisgarh maximum 165 belong to Raipur whereas 64 patients were found in Durg, 55 in Raigarh, 39 in Bilaspur, 34 in Bijapur, 31 each in Rajnandgaon and Sarguja, 30 in Gariaband, 21 in Janjgir, 13 in Narayanpur, 11 in Sukma, 9 in Surajpur, 8 each in Balod, Korba and Kanker, 7 each in Jashpur and Dantewada, 6 in Dhamtari, 5 in Mungeli, 4 each in Kawardha and Baloda-Bazaar, 3 in Mahasamund, 2 in Bemetara and 1 each in Kondagaon and Bastar. One patient of them has also come from other state. Process of their hospitalization is currently underway.
