Corona warriors including those who laid down their live honoured: Vij

Ambala, Nov 1 (UNI) Corona-19 warriors including those who laid down their lives while fighting with the universal pandemic, were honoured at a function organized by the Haryana Medical Council at the Kingfisher Tourist Complex here Sunday. The Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij was the chief guest.
The HMC had selected 270 doctors through the district civil surgeons who had served during the peak period of corona after lockdown was declared. Besides doctors, para medical staff, policemen and municipal staff who selflessly worked for the service of corona patients were also honoured. The HMC President Dr R.K. Aneja said that only 80 doctors of the total 270 were invited and the remaining would be honoured at the district level.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister Anil Vij said that the trial of third phase of corona infection would be started shortly. He said that the recovery rate had reached 92 percent while the death rate was 1.04 with the efforts of the doctors and corona warriors who relentlessly fought with the pandemic. He saluted to the warriors who worked to defeat the Corona-19 even many of them laying their lives. Equally he saluted the non-medical people who worked day and night to fight with the disease.
