Waste management model of Varanasi attracts other states

Lucknow, Nov 25 (UNI) Varanasi's model of Solid and Liquid Waste Management under the Namami Gange Programme has caught the fancy of Andhra Pradesh government. The AP government is all set to implement the same model in the rural and urban areas across the southern state.
To study the best practices related to the Solid and Liquid Waste Management, Praveen Prakash, the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy will pay a two-day visit to Varanasi from November 28-29.
“ I am planning to visit Varanasi to have a first-hand understanding of various parameters being implemented through this programme,” Mr Prakash said on Wednesday from AP.
