Lucknow , Nov 6 (UNI) After UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath announced that he would be contesting the assembly polls, Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav said his party will decide whether he will contest the elections or not.
" My party leaders would decide at the right time whether I should contest the polls or not " he clarified.
Earlier Akhilesh Yadav had categorically said he would not contest the assembly polls
" There has been talk of alliance with different parties. Seats will also be decided soon. We have alliance with RLD. Soon, Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party President Shivpal Singh Yadav will also be with us," Akhilesh Yadav said.
Yadav while inaugurating the party office of the Janwadi Party here on Saturday said by this month end everything of our poll alliance would be completed.
However, sources said a formal alliance with Shivpal Singh Yadav and other smaller parties like RLD, SBSP and others would be announced on the birthday of party 's patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav here on November 21.
The SP President said," the BJP government is going and the Samajwadi government will come. The people of the state have already decided this".
Reacting on his Jinnah comment, the SP President said," the BJP works to divert the attention of the people and it should read Indian history again."
Akhilesh Yadav called the BJP government a complete failure on the issue of law and order. He said due to inflation, unemployment and neglect of farmers, people have made up their mind to oust BJP from power.
