MP by-polls: Voting on Tuesday in 28 constituencies

Bhopal, Nov 2 (UNI) By-election voting is scheduled to be conducted from 0700-1800 hrs – while ensuring adherence to COVID-19-related precautionary guidelines in letter and spirit – on Tuesday in 28 Assembly constituencies of 19 districts within Madhya Pradesh.
In the words of Additional Chief Electoral Officer Arun Kumar Tomar, “Eighty-four companies of the Central Reserve Police Force are stationed at polling centres. Besides; 2,500 Special Armed Force personnel; 10,000 of the district police forces; 7,000 Home Guard and 10,000 special police officers have been requisitioned. Assistants and wheelchairs will be available for differently-able voters. The critical centres number 3,038 and 358 hamlets have been earmarked as vulnerable. A total 250 flying squads and 293 police checkpoints are part of the arrangements.”
