By-polls for Mandi L S : Election observer visits 1st voter of world's largest democracy

Reckongpeo/Shimla Oct 20 (UNI) Even age could not dampen the spirit of centenarian Master Shyam Saran Negi to vote who has registered his presence in all elections be it Lok Sabha, Vidhan Sabha, and Panchayati Raj Institutions elections and is all set to march for October 30 polls for Mandi by-polls.
To honour his feat, Mandi Parliamentary by-election Central Expenditure Observer and Indian Revenue Service officer Vimal Kumar Meena, met with Master Shyam Saran Negi, the first voter of the world's largest democracy at his residence on Thursday.
Mr Meena inquired about the health and well being of centenarian Mr Negi and gave a courtesy call before the Mandi Lok Sabha by-election scheduled to held on October 30.
