Chandigarh, Aug 6 (UNI) Punjab School Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla thanked Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh for the decision taken by the Cabinet under his leadership for the distribution of smart phones to the students studying in the government schools.
In a statement here on Thursday, he said by taking the decision for distribution of smart phones to 1,73,823 students of Class XII, the state government has fulfilled another promise.
He said in view of the epidemic of Covid-19, the present circumstances has forced the school education department to provide online education. In these conditions, smart phones will be very useful for the students of class XII because many parents are not in the position to buy smart phone for their children due to poverty.
