PIB Srinagar organises webinar on National Education Policy 2020

Srinagar, Sep 17 (UNI) Press Information Bureau (PIB) Srinagar Thursday organised a webinar on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 with eminent speakers highlighting the different parameters of NEP, its implementation and sustenance for efficient actual outcome.
Welcoming the participants during the introductory address, Additional Director General, PIB (Northern Region) Devpreet Singh said that NEP has replaced the 34 year old education policy with emphasis on social, emotional and ethical capacity building of the learners. She said that NEP envisions an education system rooted in Indian ethos that contributes directly to transforming India into an equitable and vibrant knowledge society thereby making India a global knowledge superpower.
Highlighting the perspective and role of media towards NEP, CEO Associated Media, Tariq Bhat said that NEP has the potential of touching new heights. He said that education has undergone a paradigm shift in the last three decades globally and there was a dire need to change the old educational system of the country. Pointing out the need for NEP to take Post-Covid world into consideration, he said that everything in the world has and is going to change massively and education system and policy makers need to consider that on priority.
