Drugs amounting to Rs. 5 Cr destroyed in Kullu : CM

Shimla, August 11(UNI)
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said here on Thursday that as per the call of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to celebrate 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' by making India drugs-free and achieve the target of disposal of 75,000 kilogram narcotic contraband by August 15 one hundred ten kilogram Charas/Cannabis and 06.020 kilogram Heroin/Chitta were destroyed in Kullu district.
The destruction of drugs was carried out by the range level High Power Drug Disposal Committee led by Deputy Inspector General of Police, Central Range, Mandi Madhusudan at Lalit Mediroma International Plot No. 40, Industrial area, Shamshi, District Kullu through boiler in an environment friendly manner in the presence of the representative of Pollution Control Board, Kullu and local media personnel.
