Central government gives approval for Dhaulasidh hydel project in Hamirpur

Hamirpur (HP), Oct 1 (UNI) The central government has given approval for the starting of 66 Megawatt Dhaulasidh hydro electric projects in Hamirpur district.
This was stated by Nand Lal Sharma, the Chairman-cum Managing Director of the SJVN in a statement on Thursday. He said that the investment proposal of Rs 687 Crores has been approved by Government of India for 66-Megawatt Dhaulasidh Hydro Electric Project. This includes budgetary support of Rs 21.6 Crores from Government of India for enabling infrastructure.
Sharma stated that the Project was initially envisaged on 27th October 2008, when initially MoU was signed between SJVN and Government of HP for development of this project SVP.
