HRIDCL sends proposal for two new railway lines to Centre for approval

Chandigarh, Oct 4 (UNI) In tune with the vision of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to improve and strengthen road and rail connectivity in the state and National Capital Region, not only have continuous initiatives been taken over the last six years to improve the same, the proposal for two new railway lines have also been sent to the Central Government for approval.
Giving this information here on Sunday, an official spokesperson said that the state government has taken special initiative to strengthen the roads, expand the Metro and develop the Regional Rapid Transit System Corridor.
He said that Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited, a joint venture has been set up through which various railway projects are being implemented in Haryana in public-private partnership. Work is underway to close the unmanned railway crossings and Railway Over Bridge (ROB) or Railway Under Bridge (RUB) are being constructed wherever required, he added.
