UP: Ex-policeman killed, son injured over land dispute

Azamgarh (UP), Nov 5 (UNI) A retired policeman was killed, and his son was injured over a land dispute in Jiyanpur area of Azamgarh district here in Uttar Pradesh, a police officer said here on Tuesday.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Chirag Jain said that retired policemen Narsingh Yadav, a resident of Harkhori village was having a dispute with his neighbours Sudhir Yadav and Monu Yadav for several days. "On Monday afternoon both the parties had an altercation, however the matter calmed down," he said.
He said that on Monday night around 10 pm the opposite party dragged Narsingh's son Golu out and started thrashing him. "When Narsingh attempted to save his son, they were attacked with bricks and stones, injuring the father-son duo seriously," he said.
