SIT to probe MLA's death in Lakhimpur Kheri

Lakhimpur Kheri, Sep 7(UNI) Three cops were suspended while the local circle officer was removed and a three members Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed to probe the alleged killing of three-times former MLA Nirvendra Kumar Mishra.
His son was also injured in the attack which allegedly took place over an old land dispute in Lakhimpur Kheri on early Sunday morning.
Surprisingly the allegations of brutal attack on the former lawmaker fell flat after his postmortem report pointed to his death due to cardiac failure.
