Hydroponic marijuana worth over Rs 19 cr seized from Varanasi airport, six Thai nationals arrested

Varanasi, June 1 (UNI) Six Thai nationals were arrested during a customs check at Varanasi's Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport on Saturday night.
Hydroponic marijuana worth over ₹19 crore was recovered from them. The case made headlines on Sunday evening.
During passenger checks on flight IX-215 from Bangkok, the luggage of six Thai nationals was thoroughly checked due to suspicious activity. The Thai nationals, comprising three women and three men, were found to have 19 kg 700 grams of hydroponic marijuana hidden in plastic packets inside trolley bags.
