Balrampur, Aug 23 (UNI) Security personnel have recovered a huge haul of explosives and other materials from the village of the ISIS terrorist Abu Yusuf alias Mustakim here on Sunday.
" Incriminating materials including a brown colour jacket containing 3 explosive packets and a blue colour check jacket containing 4 explosive packets which were removed safely, leather belt containing explosive recovered," confirmed a senior police officer, investigating the case here.
The recovery was made in a joint raid by the team of Delhi police and UP ATS at the native Badahaya village of the terrorist in Utraula area of the district.
Even wife of the terrorist ,too told the mediapersons that Abu used to store gunpowder and other materials at home in his village.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Arvind Kumar Mishra said all the explosives and 2 jackets were recovered from a pond, where it was thrown. " We have recovered explosives also from the house of the terrorist along with objectionable books and literature," he said.
The articles sezied from the village of the terrorist were one leather belt, two jackets which has several pockets to be used for Fiyadeen attack, nine kilogram of explosives, 3 cylinderical metal box, woodden box for target practice,ISIS flag and 30 ball bearings.
Meanwhile, the entire village has been sealed off by the security personnel and the family members including father, wife and others were being interrogated. Four other persons were also taken in custody for interrogation by the security agencies.
The terrorist used to run a cosmetic shop at Hasimpura market and used to be in contact with ISIS higher ups through Telegram chat site.
During the raid, police also recovered passport of Abu, his wife Ayesha and their four children. But none travelled out of the country so far.
Abus' wife Ayesha said to the media that ," When I told him him he should not do such things, he told me that I should not stop him. I wish he could be forgiven. I have four kids. Where will I go?"
Two years back Balrampur was in the news when an abandoned satellite phone was recovered from Pachperwa village near the Indo-Nepal border.But investigation by the security agencies did not yield any result and they abandoned the probe later on.
