UP: Youth dies by suicide in police custody, station In-charge suspended

Bahraich, Sep 4 (UNI) A youth died by suicide while in police custody in the Gilaula police station in Uttar Pradesh's Shravasti, Superintendent of Police (SP) said on Friday.
The youth was in police custody under the SC/ST, 354 Act. The SP Anoop Kumar Singh has suspended police station In-charge Gilaula in connection with the case.
Mr Singh here said that Wajid Ali, a resident of Darjinpurawa village in the Gilaula area, was lodged in the Gilaula police station. He had gone to the bathroom in the police station premises on Friday morning.
