Saharanpur, Jul 23 (UNI) A case has been registered against Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar and about 500 of his supporters after getting complaints of violating lockdown rules and reaching the programme spot with a convoy of 100 vehicles without permission, police said on Thursday.
Superintendent of Police (City) Vineet Bhatnagar here said that Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar did the inauguration ceremony of Azad Samaj Party office without permission wherein about 500 people reached the programme spot at Delhi road along with hundreds of vehicles.
On the written complaint of Hasanpur chowki In-charge Radheshyam Bhati, a case has been registered identifying Bhim Army founder Chandrashekhar, president Vinay Ratn, Praveen Gautam and 20 other office-bearers and about 500 of his supporters at the Sadar Kotwali. They have been booked under Sections 188, 269, 270, 341 and the Epidemic Act.
