Covid protocol violation: AIMIM's state president booked in UP's Balrampur

Balrampur, Dec 28 (UNI) As many as six identified people including All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen's (AIMIM) state president and 70-80 unidentified persons were booked for violating Section 144 and the Covid protocol in the Utraula Kotwali area here, police said on Monday.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Radharaman Singh here said that 70-80 unidentified people, including AIMIM's state president Shaukat Ali, party candidate Abdul Mannan, district president Nooruddin, Irfan, Shahid and hotel manager Mujib Khan, have been booked under Section 144 and violation of the COVID-19 protocol for gathering a crowd without permission at a hotel in Utraula Nagar.
The DSP said that in the name of a press conference, the AIMIM had gathered a huge crowd of party leaders and workers at a private hotel on Sunday whose permission had not been sought. As the matter of violation of the Covid protocol came to the fore during the crowd, legal action is being undertaken after registering a case.
