Man throws acid on wife, brother-in-law in UP

Saharanpur, Oct 21 (UNI) A man threw acid on his wife and brother-in-law which left the duo critically injured in the Qutubshekh area here, police sources said on Wednesday.
As per sources here, Nusrat had got married to one Ashu on April 23, this year. However, her husband allegedly assaulted and drove her away from the house in September. Nusrat had registered a case against her husband in the women police station in Saharanpur.
On late Tuesday evening, Ashu and his friend Usman allegedly threw acid on Nusrat and her brother Firoz at Ambala road over the same matter. Both Nusrat and her brother were left with critical burn injuries and have been admitted to the district hospital.
