Bhung spread over 200 kanals destroyed at Shopian

Srinagar, Sep 9 (UNI) Illicit crops of Bhung, spread over 200 kanals of land, was on Wednesday destroyed at village Melhora and Windana Watchi in south Kashmir district of Shopian, an official spokesman said on Wednesday evening.
He said the drive was conducted by a team of officials from various departments headed by Sub District Magistrate (SDM, Zainapora).
SDM warned Bhung cultivators against the cultivation of Bhung crops and directed Tehsildars to keep vigil on Bhung cultivation and take stern action against those found involved in Bhung cultivation.
