Jagdalpur (Chhattisgarh), June 17 (UNI) In another unalloyed positive development that drove home the point that the scourge of Naxalism is gradually being forced on the back foot in Left-wing extremism-affected Bastar division, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday formally reopened as many as 260 schools that were not functioning for the past one-and-a-half decades in Sukma (97), Dantewada (1), Bijapur (158) and Narayanpur (4) districts.
The Shala Pravesh Utsav was launched online by the Congress leader at his residential office in the state capital. A whopping 11,013 pupils were admitted to the academic institutions in question. Mr Baghel distributed satchels, books and uniforms besides interacting with students via videoconferencing.
