Developmental projects to increase steel consumption in J&K, economy to get boost: Union Minister Ramchandra

Jammu, Oct 7 (UNI) Asserting that with the Government’s scrap policy, secondary steel production would be boosted, Union Minister of Steel Ramchandra Prasad Singh on Thursday said that the consumption of the steel is also going to increase due to the ongoing and upcoming developmental projects in the region thereby giving boost to the economy.
Acknowledging the existing steel industry of Jammu and Kashmir, the Minister said, "Government is encouraging the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises owing to their potential to provide maximum job avenues in the country."
Stating that the New Industrial Policy-2021 will change the face of industrial development in Jammu and Kashmir, the Minister emphasized that the policy is going to generate numerous job opportunities in the region.
