PHDCCI urge Union Minister to set up mother industry to increase consumption, production of steel in J&K

Jammu, Oct 8 (UNI) Stating that Jammu and Kashmir being a special Union Territory, the MSMEs should be given some concession in the price of steel by the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), the delegates of PHDCCI here on Friday urged Union Steel Minister Ramchandra Prasad Singh to set up mother industry in Jammu and Kashmir to increase consumption and production of steel.
Led by Chairman PHDCCI, Rahul Sahai and accompanied by noted steel manufacturer and industrialist, Rahul Bansal, the delegates presented a memorandum to Mr Singh.
The deletates emphasized on setting up a mother industry in Jammu like Rail coach factory or any other industry from central Govt so that steel consumption and production be increased in J&K UT.
