Economic growth of Himachal in FY 2023-24 pegged at 7.1 pc

Shimla, Feb 16 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh's economic growth rate for the financial year 2023-24 is pegged at 7.1 percent, the State's Gross Domestic Product at current prices is estimated at Rs 2,07,430 Crore, and state per capita income is put at Rs 2,35,199, according to Economic Survey Report tabled in the state Assembly on Friday.
The report said the per capita income increased by Rs 16,411 from Rs 218,788 in 2022-23 to Rs 2,35199 in 2023-24. The per capita income of India was estimated at around Rs 1,85,854.
The state government claimed that state economic growth is likely to exceed by 0.2 pc compared to the previous financial year as growth in the state GDP was 6.9 pc in 2022-23. The Growth rate of the economy in the state ( 7.1 PC) is almost parallel with the growth rate of the country (7.3 PC).
