No fertilizer scarcity in MP: CM

Bhopal, Oct 14 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Thursday that there is no shortage of fertilizers in the state and distribution to farmers should be done systematically by coordinating with district collectors, it was officially learnt.
He chaired a review meeting – attended by officials of the Marketing Federation, Agriculture, Cooperatives and related departments – at his residence.
“Strict action will be taken in case of negligence. Black-marketing must be prevented during offline sale. Ensure proper distribution of fertilizers. Allocation of 2.12 lakh metric tonnes has been approved for the state this month,” Mr Chouhan said.

A Health Services Directorate bulletin said tonight that the active cases number 134 and positivity rate is 0.02 per cent. The district-wise break-up of new sufferers is Bhopal eight, Indore three, Gwalior two, Jabalpur and Shahdol one each.

Dhar, MP, Dec 3 (UNI) Undeclared assets – including land, jewellery and vehicles – worth more than Rs 2.5 crore were seized on Friday during Economic Offences Wing searches on the premises of a manager employed at the Madhya Pradesh State Agro Industries Development Corporation Ltd.
“The action against Ramesh Chandra Roopariya – working here since 2008 – followed various complaints. The raids were conducted at the accused’s office and residences in Dhar, Indore and Bhopal, ancestral dwelling in Shajapur’s Moman Badodiya and a hospital. A locker at a nationalised bank’s branch here is also under scrutiny,” Superintendent of Police (EOW) Dhananjay Shah – posted in the state’s commercial capital Indore – told the press here.
