Chandigarh, Oct 16 (UNI) Haryana Agriculture Minister J P Dalal has said the state government has implemented several schemes with the aim of safeguarding the farmers of the state from risks as the aim of the government is to increase the income of the farmers.
Interacting with mediapersons in Rohtak on Saturday, the Minister elaborated on the achievements of the government as the state government led by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will soon be completing seven years on October 26.
Mr Dalal said the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, which was implemented in the year 2016, is proving beneficial for the farmers. So far, farmers have been given a compensation of Rs 4,000 crore under this scheme. Similarly, under the Pashudhan Credit Scheme, a compensation amount of about Rs 800 crore has been given to the cattle owners.
