Punjab govt to provide 23,500 subsidized paddy residue management machines to farmers in Kharif season

Chandigarh, Aug 2 (UNI) To motivate the farming community to restrain from burning crop residue, the Punjab Government has decided to provide subsidy worth Rs. 300 crore ranging from 50% to 80% to farmers for the purchase of 23,500 agro-machines/farm equipments for the management of paddy residue during Kharif, 2020.

Disclosing this here today, Additional Chief Secretary (Development) Anirudh Tiwari said that state government has invited applications from farmers both individually and in groups to provide subsidy on the purchase of paddy residue management machines in the current Kharif season.

Lucknow, Sep 18 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said there was huge potential for the manufacturing of bulk drugs and medical equipment as there was huge spurt in demand for both the commodities following the pandemic.
Mr Adityanath said the state will have to take urgent measures for tapping the potential and medical device park have to be set up for the manufacture of the bulk drugs and medical equipment.

A presentation about the manufacture of the bulk drugs and medical equipment was made before the Chief Minister on Friday.
