Sanjay Singh's wife among 30 AAP workers taken into custody in UP

Prayagraj, Oct 2 (UNI) Over 30 office-bearers and workers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), including the wife of Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh's wife, were taken into custody by the police while they were protesting against the Hathras incident here on Friday.
Demanding stringent action against the accused in the Hathras incident, the AAP workers were protesting while observing a fast. However, they allegedly turned aggressive while being taken into custody.
Meanwhile, they also started sloganeering against the police and the state government. They also had an altercation with the cops following which over 30 people were taken into custody. They were later sent to the police lines in a van.

Bhopal, Nov 24 (UNI) Highlighting the encouraging fact that the novel coronavirus vaccine is likely to see the light of day in the near future, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan assured on Tuesday that his dispensation has ensured arrangements in this regard.
“However, there should be no laxity whatsoever at any stage. I appeal to my sisters and brothers to continue following precautions such as utilisation of masks, maintaining social distancing and washing hands repeatedly with soap water. I urge voluntary organisations to counsel the populace. I myself keep advising people wherever I go and also distribute masks,” the senior politician was officially quoted as saying.

Haryana govt takes precautionary measures in view of farmers' Delhi Chalo march

Chandigarh, Nov 24 (UNI) Haryana Government has decided to take all precautionary measures, in view of the situation during the proposed nationwide 'Delhi Chalo' (March to Delhi) call given by farmer organisations on November 26, regarding the Farmers' Welfare Ordinances.

Haryana Chief Secretary Vijai Vardhan presided over a review meeting with Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of districts namely Ambala, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Jind, Kaithal, Kurukshetra and Panchkula regarding maintaining law and order during the proposed nationwide march to Delhi.

Additional Chief Secretary, Financial Commissioner, Revenue & Disaster Management Sanjeev Kaushal, and Additional Chief Secretary, Medical Education and Research Department Alok Nigam attended the meeting through video-conferencing.
