BJP MLA stages 5 hr sit-in at UP police station demanding his supporters' release

Unnao, Jul 30 (UNI) In a major embarrassment for the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh, a ruling party MLA had to stage a dharna at a police station for over five hours on late Wednesday to protest against the arrest of some of his supporters.

According to reports BJP MLA Pankaj Gupta , was annoyed with the police atrocity on some senior citizens and rushed to the Sadar Kotwali. But when police first did not hear his grievances, the legislator sat on dharna and later at 0110 hours, police was ready to register a FIR on the police atrocity.
