Lucknow, Jul 27 (UNI) Hundred of Congress leaders and workers were arrested at front of the Uttar Pradesh Raj Bhawan here on Monday when they were protesting against the ongoing political crisis in Rajasthan.

The Congress leaders reached the Raj Bhawan led by Ajay Kumar Lallu and AICC Gen Secy in-charge of Chhattisgarh PL Punia.

Before the arrest, the Congress activists tried to clash with the security personnel, but they were overpowered and were pushed into the buses to take them away to some other place.

Others arrested including Congress Lucknow city president Mukesh Singh Chauhan.

Congress is holding a nationwide protest before every Rajbhawan under the campaign 'Speak Up for Democracy' alleging bias role of Rajasthan Raj Bhawan by now allowing the Ashok Gehlot government to call the assembly session.
