Jaipur, Jul 26 (UNI) All India Congress Committee spokesperson Ajay Maken on Sunday said that his party would hold demonstrations on Monday outside every Governor house in the country.
"To save democracy in Rajasthan, Congress party will stage protest outside every state's Raj Bhavan", the spokesperson said.
Charging the Centre for pressurizing the Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra to not to call an Assembly session, Mr Maken said that it is against the constitution to ignore the proposal of the democratically elected government adding that the crisis are unprecedented.
"It is first time happening in the country that Speaker's decision is challenged in a Court" he said adding " A Speaker's decision can be verified by the Court, but, it cannot stop the directions issued by the Speaker in the notice."
Mr Maken lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that on one side India is reeling under COVID-19 outbreak and on the other China is occupying the land of our country. "But instead of fighting China, the Prime Minister is fighting Congress", the spokesperson averred.
He accused Mr Modi and BJP of murdering the democracy.
Mr Maken called upon the 8 crore people of Rajasthan to ask the Centre whether the mandate given by the people of the state will be respected or decided by money and the power of the rulers in Delhi. "They want to make democracy a slave of the "Delhi Durbar", he added.
