Shimla, Aug 3 (UNI) A woman employees of the General Post Office here tested positive for novel coronavirus leading to other staff lodging a protest on Monday against the management for not sealing the premises properly.
The employee who is resident of Engineghar Sanjouli tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday. The entire premises of the said employee was sealed by the administration, however, the post office where she worked located on Mall Road was opened after sanitisation of the premises on Monday.
Other employees of the GPO blamed the Himachal Pradesh India Post Circle management and protested outside the premises against the decision of the management to open the post office. An India Posts employee said that employees cannot be forced to work in an unsafe environment when their colleague has already tested positive for coronavirus.
