Women praise UP government schemes for making them ‘self-reliant’

Lucknow, Sep 29(UNI) "The Uttar Pradesh government has given a major boost to the micro, small and medium enterprises in just four and a half years. These units, especially in rural areas, are generating immense growth opportunities for the women," said Ashok Agarwal, President, Indian Industries Association (IIA) at an event organized for the women of SHGs here on Wednesday.

On the occasion, Ashok Aggarwal stated that women are getting benefits directly from the schemes of the Central and State Governments. "Uttar Pradesh is at the fifth position in exports, which is progressing to be number one soon. Today, women are fulfilling their dreams by working hard out of villages and towns. The state government is making women self-reliant by giving them special training sessions and tool-kits. Through initiatives like MSMEs and ODOP, each person is being provided a platform to showcase their talent" he said.
