Women help desk to be established at all police stations in UP: Yogi

Lucknow, Oct 15 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday announced to set up a women help desk at all the police stations in the state.
"Women generally hesitate to visit police stations for any kind of assistance and are also hesitant in sharing their problems with male cops and considering this, it has been decided to establish women help desks at each and every police station with immediate effect," an official statement said here.
It is to mentioned that the upcoming Navaratri festival has been dedicated to women’s safety, dignity and empowerment and a special campaign 'Mission Shakti' has been announced from October 17. Various programs will be organised from the gram panchayats to industrial units, school campuses to government offices, from the Durga Puja pandals to Ramlilas to reaffirm the faith and resolve towards the women power.
