UP CM directs prompt compensation to farmers for crop loss due to floods

Lucknow, Oct 1 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the officials to complete the required assessment and provide quick compensation for their crop loss due to rains and floods.

While addressing a high-level meeting, on Friday, the CM said, "As the rains recede, the loss of crops due to floods and excessive rains should be assessed. Any farmer, whose crop is damaged, should be compensated as per rules at the earliest. People who lost their houses due to floods should also be compensated as per rules. The Revenue and Agriculture departments should complete this work on a priority in coordination with each other."
