Punjab govt releases Rs 10 cr more funds for flood affected ryots of Sultanpur Lodhi

Sultanpur Lodhi, Sep 3 (UNI) Punjab Government Thursday released Rs 10 crore more as compensation to the farmers of flood affected areas of Sultanpur Lodhi especially for the Mand areas of the district , which witnessed large scale loss of crops during last season.
MLA from Sultanpur Lodhi S Navtej Singh Cheema said " with this amount of Rs 10 crore the Punjab Government has released his total share for the affected farmers crops, houses etc as per the norms ."
Under compensation norms, the farmers would be able to receive Rs. 12 thousand Per acre, out of which Rs. 6600 to be given by Punjab Government whereas the rest Rs.5400 to be allocated by the Union Government.
