Punjab CS reviews arrangements to contain Covid-19 in view of upcoming festival season

Chandigarh, Oct 10 (UNI) Punjab Chief Secretary Vini Mahajan on Saturday reviewed the arrangements and preparedness of the state to contain the COVID-19 in view of upcoming festival season, besides taking stock of ongoing paddy procurement operations and steps taken to curb the stubble burning menace in the state.
Expressing satisfaction over the arrangements made in the state Hospitals for COVID patients during a high level virtual meeting here, the Chief Secretary asked the concerned departments to send details about Case Fatality Rate (CFR) in the districts, besides ensuring delivery of the post COVID Care Kits to the patients discharged from government facilities. The data of patients should be updated on the COVA app, she added.
Principal Secretary Health and Family Welfare Hussan Lal apprised the Chief Secretary that 35,000 COVID Care Kits have already been sent to the field and still 1000 kits are available at the headquarters.

Two costly cars stolen in Haryana

Ambala, Nov 23 (UNI) Car lifters are active in Ambala Cantt. Two costly cars were stolen on Sunday. One Innova and one XUV 500 were stolen from two different localities of Lakkar Bazaar and other from Vikaspuri. Innova was stolen when the leading sweetmeat seller Vaivhav Kansal had parked his vehical in front of his residence in the night after attending a marriage on November 20 but next day he found his car stolen at 9.00 in the morning. Vaivhav made complaint to the Home Minister Anil Vij who ordered to the police to take action.
