Karnataka: Yadgir administration opts for lockdown from July 15 to 22

Yadgir, Jul 14 (UNI) In a bid to cap the continuing spike in COVID-19 positive cases in the district, the administration has decided to opt for lockdown in the district from July 15 to July 22.
Deputy Commissioner M Kuramarao, in a release here on Tuesday, declared a week-long lockdown from 2000 hours on July 15 to July 22.
As per guidelines issued with the order, business outlets that would offer essential goods and services such as hospitals, pharmacies and grocery shops would be allowed to operate as usual but prayers in public places of worships such as temples and Masjids would not be allowed; movement of vehicles, including cars, two-wheelers and auto rickshaws not allowed, except for emergencies; all types of goods vehicles would be allowed to operate; petrol pumps shall open only between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
