COVID: Famous Sunday market in Srinagar remains deserted ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr

Srinagar, May 9 (UNI) With just few days left for Eid-ul-Fitr, the famous Sunday market in the heart of the summer capital, Srinagar, remained deserted in view of ‘corona curfew’ implemented by administration amid unabated rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in the Union Territory of J&K.

The otherwise buy market, during the time of festive season, wore a deserted look as all the roads and market places, including Lal Chowk, the nerve centre of the summer capital, Srinagar, remained sealed with authorities seeking cooperation from the public to curtail the spread of COVID-19 by strictly adhering to the lockdown.
