SEBCC given wide powers by Govt to address issues

Srinagar, Jul 15 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Commission (SEBCC) has been given wide range of powers to look into the issues of Socially and Educationally Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in the J&K.
This was stated by Chairman SEBCC, Justice (Retd) GD Sharma during a press conference here on Wednesday.
Justice Sharma also informed that the Commission has been given very wide powers to determine the criteria to be adopted in considering any section of the people in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir as Socially and Educationally Backward Classes.

Mukhya Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in MP

Bhopal, Sep 22 (UNI) Highlighting the fact that 77 lakh cultivators of Madhya Pradesh are annually provided Rs 6,000 each in three equal instalments under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan averred on Tuesday that his dispensation has decided to disburse to peasants Rs 4,000 each in two identical portions every year as part of the Mukhya Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
The estimated number of land-holding tillers stands at a crore, an official release said.

Sabko Saakh-Sabka Vikas: MP CM talks to ryots

Bhopal, Sep 22 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan interacted on Tuesday with fish breeders, livestock farmers and other peasants of Balaghat, Mandsaur, Bhind, Morena and Raisen via videoconferencing under the programme Sabko Saakh-Sabka Vikas, official sources said.
Arvind – who deals in fish – told the senior politician in Hindi, “My 15-strong group received credit of Rs 1.5 lakh. We are also into water chestnuts. The fish yield is 10-12 tonnes and that translates into Rs 8-10 lakh. Under compulsion, I earlier obtained loans at the rate of 5 to 10 per cent per month. Now, getting it at 0 per cent interest is a considerable relief.”

In the words of Nandkishore, he took up animal husbandry last year, now has five cattle and his income increased owing to milk production.

Loans and plot transfers made easier in MP

Bhopal, Sep 22 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Government decided on Tuesday that occupants of government plots – located in urban areas – who have undisputed possession on or before December 31, 2014 will be identified and issued permanent title deeds for a period of three decades against charges plus lease amount, it was officially learnt.
The related Cabinet meeting laid down that online applications shall be examined by the District Collector. However, the documents will not be issued in case of land being utilised by the government or the community. The pattas shall enable occupants to avail bank credit and also transfer plots.

HP HC summons Mining Officer over illegal mining

Shimla, Sep 22 (UNI) The High Court of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday directed the Mining Officer, Mandi to file an affidavit and remain present in the Court on the next date of hearing, with all particulars pertaining to the Sone Khad, Baakar Khad, Satiar Khad, Naald Khad, Balyana Khad, Allain Khad and Chaswaal Khad areas, where illegal mining activities are stated to be going on.
