Jammu Divisional Comm issues guidelines regarding SOPs in alleged medical negligence cases

Jammu, Oct 9 (UNI) Jammu Divisional Commissioner, Dr Raghav Langer on Saturday issued strict instructions to the Investigating Officers to follow the Standard Operating Procedure(SOP) while dealing with alleged cases of medical negligence as prescribed by the Supreme Court in its different Judgments.
ADGP Jammu Zone has been requested to sensitise all Senior Superintendents of Police to ensure following of Standard Operating Procedure in alleged cases of medical negligence to prevent malicious and frivolous prosecutions/complaints against medical professionals.
“To avoid unnecessary harassment, all concerned Police Investigating Officers shall strictly adhere and comply with the guidelines and laws laid down by Supreme Court of India, where a complaint is received against a medical professional alleging commission of criminal rashness or negligence’’, official communiqué here said.

Uttarakhand records 24 83 pc voter turnout till 11 am

Dehradun, Apr 19 (UNI) Uttarakhand has witnessed an average voter turnout of 24.83 per cent for five Lok Sabha seats till 11am on Friday,
Excluding the Nainital constituency, voting percentages in the other four constituencies have surpassed those of the 2019 elections within the same timeframe, which recorded 23.59 per cent turnout by Friday midday.
