LG announces recruitment rallies in Armed forces, Kupwara-Baramulla rail line

Machil, LoC (north Kashmir), Oct 5 (UNI) Announcing recruitment rallies for the local youth in Armed forces, besides rail link between Baramulla-Kupwara, Lt Governor Manoj Singh on Monday said he wanted to create an ecosystem in the Union Territory (UT), which promotes self-employment, enterprises, manufacturing, industries and also bridge the skill gap, to make the rural areas 'Atmanirbhar'.
Issuing directions for immediate installation of five mobile towers fulfilling the long-pending demand of the border areas, Mr Sinha announced that the frontier district of Kupwara will be turned into a modern industrial hub for walnut production and processing. However, he stressed on the need to work on promotion of local crafts and imparting Traditional Skill Training to generate self-employment.
''I want to create an Ecosystem in J&K, which promotes self-employment, enterprises, manufacturing, industries and also bridges the skill gaps to make rural areas of this Union Territory Atmanirbhar,'' Mr Sinha made these remarks during his visit to the frontier Machil area in Kupwara, where he participated in the ongoing Back to Village-3 programme.
