LG inaugurates projects, lays found stones and meet delegations in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jul 10 (UNI) Interacting with about 15 delegations, Lt Governor (LG) Girish Chandra Murmu inaugurated several projects and lays foundation stones in the south Kashmir district of Kulgam, an official spokesman said on Friday.
During his visit, Mr Murmu also chaired a high-level meeting to review security arrangements in south Kashmir.
He said Murmu visited District Kulgam and interacted with about 15 delegations including representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Local Bodies, traders' federation, Awquaf committees, transporters, fruit and vegetable growers association, senior citizens and Scheduled Tribe (ST) community members on Thursday to take first hand appraisal of the developmental needs of the area, besides taking stock of the various projects and works under execution.

Bhopal, Sep 20 (UNI) Emphasising that empowerment of women is imperative for creating a more robust Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan underlined on Sunday that all-female self-help groups have set a laudable and inspiring example in the country during the pandemic.
“Thus far, 33 lakh of our sisters have linked themselves to SHGs. In the next three years, we have to move forward along the path of self-reliance by connecting 33 lakh more,” the veteran leader was officially quoted as saying at the city-based Minto Hall while addressing a state-level programme vis-à-vis credit disbursal to SHGs.

Industrial expansion planned in MP: CM

Bhopal, Sep 20 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan averred on Sunday that industrial areas will be expanded in Agar, Barod, Nalkheda and Susner plus small units set up with the objective of boosting employment opportunities, it was officially learnt.
The senior politician was speaking on the occasion of bhoomi pujan for construction ventures having a projected expenditure of Rs 7,791.42 lakh and distribution of schemes’ benefits at Agar Malwa District’s Barod Krishi Upaj Mandi.

Indoukh project is boon for MP

Bhopal, Sep 20 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday expressed satisfaction over the fact that the Rs 79.03-crore Indoukh Barrage project – with 28.278 million cubic metres storage capacity – across the Chhoti Kali Sindh river will irrigate 6,100 hectares besides supplying potable water to 23 villages of Mahidpur and Barod tehsils.
The senior politician dedicated to the people a 150-m-long Rs 704.09-lakh bridge over the Kshipra and laid the foundation stone for the 34.75-km-long Mahidpur-Nageshwar road at a projected expenditure of Rs 2,947.92 lakh and the 15.30-km-long Jharda-Gogakheda road (Rs 1,274.18 lakh) under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
